The Research consists of a series of surveys in six geographies. The surveys were conducted online in BRazil, Russia, India, China and the UAE in October 2009, reaching a total of 4.350 women and men. Qualitative data was collected through focus groups, the Virtual Strategy Session tool, and numerous one-on-one interviews. According to research from the Center for Work-Life policy, more than 80% of educated women in Brazil and India aspire to top jobs; in China, the figure is more than 75%. In comparison, a mere 52% of highly qualified women in the USA are shooting for the jobs. As a Result, the brainpower that women from the BRIC countries bring to the workforce has been overlooked and underutilized. The Fact is that no company can afford to ignore highly qualified female talent if it wants to compete in these fast-expanding economics and win.
